The Story Behind Our Nutmeg Face Wash: A Blend of Tradition, Nature, and Heritage

Every ingredient we use has a soul, a memory, and a purpose and our Nutmeg Face Wash is no exception. It's a special blend of nutmeg and charoli, and the inspiration behind it is rooted deep in my childhood.

One summer, during our vacation at my naani's home, a smallpox outbreak affected our entire family  24 of us, including kids and elders. As children, we were constantly irritated by the itching boils. That’s when my naani would prepare a soothing charoli and milk paste using a traditional mortar and pestle. All of us kids would sit together and apply it to our hands, faces, and wherever needed. I remember resisting the ritual back then, not realizing how powerful it was. That simple, homemade remedy healed our skin completely  without leaving a single scar. Ironically, the one spot I refused to apply it on, my nose, still carries a scar to this day  a reminder of a lesson learned too late.

Then there's nutmeg (jaiphal)  a discovery from my curious teenage years. I was fascinated by a woman in our neighborhood who had the most radiant skin I had ever seen. I kept asking my mother what her secret was, and finally one day she asked the woman on my behalf. The answer was surprisingly simple: a daily paste of nutmeg and milk. That was her timeless skincare ritual.

As time went by, I explored and experimented with other natural powerhouses like beetroot, tomato, and my third favorite  tamarind. Blending these incredible ingredients with nutmeg and charoli, we created something truly magical  a face wash that doesn’t just cleanse, but connects you with the wisdom of generations.

That’s how our Nutmeg Face Wash came to life not just a product, but a piece of my journey, my heritage, and a commitment to safe, effective, natural skincare.
